Slaby Foundation Values and Beliefs Statement -  10 Principles for Partnership

Principle #1: This is a family foundation driven by the interests and passions of the Slaby family.  We believe that every day is an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.

Principle #2: Community service is instrumental to our core values. Philanthropy plays an important but very limited role.  We are currently only capable of being a facilitator of  significant philanthropic interests.  We do not offer or design grants.

Principle #3: Education is close to our hearts.  Education will be our legacy.

Principle #4: We believe in giving with a purpose.  We prefer to give time, heart, and skill instead of just a check.

Principle #5: We believe in partnership and collaboration of ideas and networks to help a greater cause.  Much more can be achieved together than by one individual effort.

Principle #6: We are humble and mindful in our efforts, actions, and words. We seek the counsel of outside voices and outside resources.

Principle #7: We never forget who we are working on behalf of and treat the ultimate beneficiaries of our work with respect they deserve.

Principle #8: We demand ethical behavior of ourselves and our partners.

Principle #9: We treat  all our partners as valued colleagues.
